Hello i am a newbie and am thankful for sites like this. With that said. Is this a good stove? It came with our new house ran it all last season and didnt even know the venting was wrong. Now the venting is right 4 inch all the way up to my chimnney cap. We have a newborn at home here and wondering if there is any saftey concerns with pellet stoves? I understand there is a concern with everything but anything i should be aware of? And the quailty of the stove i am new and only hear Harman is gret from friends. Thank you .

hi wolfie, and welcome to the forum. if you would go to iburncorn, and scroll down to the harman site, i am sure you would get a lot more response to this question from a lot of other harman owners. these type of space heaters are usually a good source of heat. main thing is keep it clean, and keep the fuel clean. pellets can have a lot of dust in the bag. i clean the pellets before hand, and also have the shop vac hose right there when dumping into the hopper, to keep the dust out of the house, also when cleaning, i have the hose right there to keep the ash dust out of the house. just make sure all coals are dead. and a drywall bag in the shop vac is a MUST, to keep from blowing it back into the house. stay warm. kap
